I’ve always said that DaVinci Resolve will be a great NLE faster than Adobe Premiere Pro or Avid Media Composer can do color correction & grading well. Version 16 continues to validate my trust in BlackMagic Design to deliver the most innovative post production software in the industry, in my humble opinion.

Resolve specialist Jason Druss gave us an overview into a wide range of new features in Davinci Resolve 16, including the new DaVinci Neural Engine, that uses machine learning to enable powerful new features such as facial recognition, speed warp and more.

Write A Scene in 7 Minutes

You wouldn’t write a scene this fast unless you’re on a set, but it’s a great video that covers almost all aspects of writing a screenplay in less than a half hour.

We challenged screenwriter Emily Carmichael to write a scene on camera--in seven minutes. Emily talks through her process and takes us into the mind of a screenwriter. She had only seven minutes to write the first draft, five minutes to write the second draft, and three minutes to write the third draft--see what she ended up with.
