Introducting Vision Pro | Apple WWDC23

Here is Apple Vision Pro, the long-rumored Apple’s AR/VR headset.

To be released early 2023, it is priced at $3,499 (& spec-ed) for pro users, not average consumers like iPhones. But it’s signaling that this platform will be coming to the mass after all the kinks are worked out, with more apps developed for its platform/OS named visionOS. And it has to be a lot cheaper, like sub $1,000.

I’m ready to throw money at Apple to get this device, above other Macs announced today.

AI in Post Production

“Will you go against the machines?”

AI, Artificial Intelligence, is all the rage these days, and these two videos can show/explain the impacts of AI will have in the post production fields.

I agree that AI presents an opportunity like the analog to digital transition, where the core of storytelling isn’t going to change. But landing on a storytelling that will resonate with the modern audience remains challenging.

Some of these tools are already in Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve, that can run on your computers instead of servers. But these are only stepping stones for more sophisticated AI tools to emerge in the near future.

That’s why I’m spending more time learning of AI/Machine Learning over the weekends like I did when I first started acquiring color correction + grading skills. It’s going to be exciting to see where I and this technology end up in two years or so.

Final Cut Pro & Logic Pro on iPad (Finally!)

About (damn) time, Apple!

Personally, I don’t utilize these programs, but I know that many fans have been practically begging for them since iPad Pro was released. And I’m all for more pro software to use on my iPad Pro.

However, I’m not a fan of this: “$4.99 per month or $49 per year on iPad starting on May 23rd.”

You could commit for just $5 per month whenever you need them, instead of full purchase prices. But, I’m getting worried about new subscription push from Apple especially for a budding platform like an iPad (Pro).
